Chase The Monkey

Someone has hidden all the bananas on the island of Primatia! In this addictive bananza, battle your monkey friends for the remaining bananas. Stop your opponents by shaking the trees to make them drop the banana. Be the last monkey with the banana when the time runs out and you win. Just don’t wake the grumpy gorilla!

Chase the Monkey was a beta release game I published to the Google Play Market and was linked to my dissertation for university.  I successfully implemented Flurry Analytics with custom tracking logs placed throughout the code. This allowed me to identify bottlenecks and less favourable areas of the game. I implemented this alongside an online survey, to determine if the indications where the same as actual user perception. As the game was only a beta release, There were still a few bugs in the AI character with time constraints, but overall the analytics were successful, with over 1000 downloads providing an ample test base.

All game objects were created and animated from scratch using a combination of Unity3d and customised scripts, Autodesk 3D Studio Max, Adobe Creative Suite and the Android SDK. Below are a series of Screenshots from the Game and the Flurry Analytics Dashboard.
